Circus Smirkus
Presenting Circus Smirkus is another highlight of the season that has become a highly anticipated area event. It’s also an important way for TITO to raise critical operational funding.

Join TITO in a Celebration of Summer Fun, Hosted by our Friends at The Sunset Club
Join us for food and drink specials, lawn games, connecting with friends new and old, mystery boxes, and more. This fun event supports Theater in the Open programs all year long, including free theater productions, scholarships for arts education programs, and historic preservation of our home at The Gatekeeper’s House in Maudslay State Park. Tickets are pay-what-you-will — every amount helps support Theater in the Open!

Maudslay is Haunted! 2024
Theater in the Open’s notorious annual haunting of Maudslay is back! Join us for a walk in the park like no other—if you dare! Spooky, silly, and all-ages vignettes are sure to get you in the Halloween spirit for the HAUNTED TRAIL!
2024 DATES & DETAILS: October 19 & 20 from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. (Raindate, Oct. 26)
Admission is $10. Children under 4 are free! Cash and card accepted. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
LOCATION: Maudslay State Park, Newburyport, MA 01950 Follow the Theater in the Open flags from the Maudslay parking lot. Allow ten minutes to stroll to the site and $5 for parking ($20 for out-of-state vehicles). For further information call 978-465-2572.

Flatbread PIZZA Fundraiser
This event speaks for itself. Come out to Flatbread Pizza in downtown Amesbury to share a meal with friends and support Theater in the Open! We are grateful to Flatbread for donating a percentage of every pizza sold on our fundraiser night to Theater in the Open. Order some takeout or grab a table and some friends and come out to support Theater in the Open!
